Sai Inspires (Tamil Translation): 4th October 2012

Repeating the Name of God saved Prahladha from the agony of torture. He learnt the Sacred Name and understood its sweetness. He chanted it constantly and internalized its nectarine taste. When the enraged elephant rushed towards him, he did not call out for his physical parents to rescue him; he instantaneously cried out “Narayana”. The Lord is the source of strength for the weak and the strong; He is the Supreme Power. When Prahladha took the Name of the Lord, enraged elephants backed out, no fire could touch him and no poison could affect him. The Lord’s Name was his armour, his shield, his breath, infact his very life. For chanting the Divine Name, no expense is involved, no materials are needed, no special place or time is required. Scholarship, caste or creed does not matter. When a piece of iron is rubbed on a slab of stone, heat is generated. So too, in order to generate sufficient heat to melt the soft heart of the Lord, repeat the Divine Name vigorously and constantly. Then, the Lord will shower His Grace.

நாம ஜபம் ப்ரஹலாதனை துன்புறுத்தப்படும் பொழுது வலியிலிருந்து காத்தது. அவன் திருநாமத்தை கற்று, அதன் இனிமையை உணர்ந்து இருந்தான். அவன் அதனை எப்பொழுதும் ஜபித்துக் கொண்டு, அதன் அமுதான சுவையை உட்கொண்டிருந்தான். மதம் பிடித்த யானை அவனை நோக்கி வரும்பொழுது அவன் தன் உடலளவிலான பெற்றோரைத் தன்னைக் காப்பாற்ற அழைக்கவில்லை; அவன் கண நேரத்தில் “நாராயணா” எனக் கூக்குரல் விடுத்தான். கடவுளே பலவீனமானவர்களுக்கும், பலசாளிகளுக்கும் பலத்தின் ஊற்றாக இருக்கிறார். அவரே உயர்ந்த சக்தியானவர். ப்ரஹலாதன் கடவுளின் நாமத்தைச் சொன்னவுடன், மதம் பிடித்த யானைகள் பின்வாங்கின, எந்தத் தீயும் அவனைத் தீண்டவில்லை, எந்த விஷமும் அவனை பாதிக்கவில்லை. கடவுளின் நாமம் அவனுடைய கவசமாகவும், கேடயமாகவும், சுவாசமாகவும், ஏன் அவன் உயிராகவுமே இருந்தது. கடவுளின் நாமத்தை ஜபிப்பதற்கு எந்த செலவும் இல்லை, எந்தப் பொருளும் தேவையில்லை, எந்தவொரு தனி இடமோ, தனி நேரமோ தேவையில்லை. பாண்டித்யம், ஜாதி அல்லது மதக் கோட்பாடு என்ன என்பதும் அவசியமில்லை. ஒரு இரும்புத் துண்டினை ஒரு கல்லின் மேல் தேய்த்தால் வெப்பம் உண்டாகிறது. அதே போல, கடவுளின் மிருதுவான இதயத்தை உருக்குவதற்கான அளவு வெப்பத்தை உருவாக்குவதற்கு இறைவன் நாமத்தை பலமாகவும், இடைவிடாமலும் ஜபித்திடுங்கள். அவ்வாறு செய்தால், கடவுள் தன் அருளைப் பொழிவார்.
