Every one of you has in possession a ticket for liberation from the cycle of birth and death. But most do not know the train that has to be boarded; many get down at intermediate stations, imagining them to be the terminus and wander helplessly in the wilderness, or are carried away by sights and scenes. Until the wound heals, and the new skin is formed and hardens, the bandage is essential. So too, until Reality is realized, the balm of faith, holy company and holy thoughts must be applied to the ego-affected mind. It is dedication to the Lord that sanctifies all activities. He is the Prompter, the Executor, the Giver of the required strength and skill, and the Enjoyer of the fruit thereof. So dedication must come naturally to you, for all is His, and nothing is yours. Your duty is to believe that He is the impeller of your activities and draw strength from that belief.

Repetition of God’s Name is the process by which the dedicatory attitude can be cultivated and grown. When confronted by a calamity, you must attach yourself to this spiritual practice, even more firmly, instead of losing faith in it and getting slack. Do not give up the medicine, when you need it the most! The pity is that when most people face the first disappointment, they lose courage and confidence, and give up their Lord! There are also others, who call out the Names of the Lord, when they are displeased with some happenings, or when they are depressed, in a tone indicative of disgust, uttering it with a sigh or a groan. This is very incorrect. The Name of the Lord must always be pronounced with joy, gratitude, exultation and remembering Him in all splendour. Call Him with Love, call Him with a heart full of sincere yearning.

கடவுளின் திருநாமத்தை ஜபிப்பதன் மூலம் தான் அர்ப்பணிப்பு மனப்பான்மையை வளர்க்க முடியும். உங்களை ஒரு பேரிடர் எதிர்கொள்ளும் பொழுது, நம்பிக்கையற்று தளர்ந்து விடாமல், மேலும் உறுதியுடன் இந்த ஆன்மீகப் பயிற்சியைப் பற்றிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். உங்களுக்கு மிகவும் தேவையான பொழுது, மருந்து உட்கொள்வதை விட்டுவிடாதீர்கள்! பரிதாபகரமாக மக்கள் தமக்கு ஏற்படும் முதன் ஏமாற்றத்திலேயே, தைரியத்தையும் நம்பிக்கையையும் இழந்து தம் கடவுளை விட்டுவிடுகின்றனர்! மேலும் சிலர், சில சம்பவங்கள் நடக்கும் பொழுதோ, தாம் உளச்சோர்வடையும் பொழுதோ, பெருமூச்சுடனோ, முனகலுடனோ வெறுப்பு கொண்டது போல் கடவுளின் திருநாமங்களை உச்சரிக்கின்றனர். இது மிகவும் தவறானதாகும். எப்பொழுதும் மகிழ்ச்சி, நன்றி மற்றும் களிப்புடன், அவரது முழு மகிமையையும் நினைவில் நிறுத்தி அவருடைய திருநாமத்தை உச்சரித்திட வேண்டும். அவரை அன்புடன் கூப்பிடுங்கள், இதயம் கனிந்த, உளமார்ந்த ஆவலுடன் அவரைக் கூப்பிடுங்கள்.

Three fishes lived in a pond. One told the other two that the water was drying up and they should leave before it was too late. The first fish decided to leave the pond immediately, the second said it could save itself when the contingency arose and the third fish ignored it. In due course, the second and third fish were caught by a fisherman. The second fish managed to break through the net and escape, the third one resigned its fate to destiny. God of Death, Yama is the fisherman; unless early notice is taken of the process of drying to which the tank of one’s lifespan is subject, one gets caught. Migrate into the sea of Grace, which will not dry; or learn the art of breaking through the net of death. Discard sloth and slumber, denounce fanaticism and make yourself a dedicated servant of the Lord. Then all strength, joy and Grace will be showered on you.

மூன்று மீன்கள் ஒரு குளத்தில் வாழ்ந்து வந்தன, அவற்றில் ஒன்று மற்ற இரண்டிடமும் நீர் வற்றிக் கொண்டிருப்பதாகவும், தாமதமாகும் முன்னர் அங்கிருந்து கிளம்ப வேண்டும் கூறியது. முதல் மீன் உடனேயே கிளம்ப முடிவு செய்தது. பிரச்சினை வரும் பொழுது தான் தன்னைக் காப்பாற்றிக் கொள்வதாகக் கூறி இரண்டாம் மீன் கூறிற்று. மூன்றாம் மீன் இதனை உதாசீனப்படுத்தியது. காலப் போக்கில், இரண்டாம் மற்றும் மூன்றாம் மீன்கள் ஒரு மீனவனால் பிடிக்கப்பட்டன. இரண்டாம் மீன் வலையைக் கிழித்துக் கொண்டுத் தப்பியது. மூன்றாவதோ தன் முடிவை விதி வசம் விட்டுவிட்டது. எமன் தான் மீனவன். தன் ஆயுட்காலம் எனும் குளத்தின் நீர் வற்றுவது எனும் செயலைப் பற்றி எச்சரிக்கையாக முதலிலிருந்தே செயல் புரியாவிடில் ஒருவர் மாட்டிக் கொள்வார். அருள் எனும் வற்றாத கடலில் குடியேறுங்கள். இல்லையெனில் மரணம் எனும் வலையை கிழித்து வெளிவரும் கலையைக் கற்றுக் கொள்ளுங்கள். சோம்பலைத் தவிர்த்து, வீம்பை விட்டுவிட்டு, உங்களைக் கடவுளிடம் அர்ப்பணித்துக் கொண்ட சேவகனாக மாற்றிக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவ்வாறானால், அனைத்து பலமும், மகிழ்ச்சியும், அருளும் உங்கள் மீது பொழியப்படும்.

The term Yajna means ‘any activity dedicated to the glory of God’. Such activity can be done in all climes, in all realms, and by all races. The key to success is ‘Dedication’. Without it, there will inevitably arise anxiety, fear and faction. Every activity in the world is directed unto God, whether you know it or not. If God is not the inspirer and motivator, how can the Universe be moving in harmony, wheeling so smoothly, without chaos and anarchy? Those who are aware of this fact and accept it, experience thrill and joy in witnessing it! Anyone who lives in the constant presence of God and does all acts dedicated to God is continuously engaged in Yajna.

யக்ஞம் எனும் சொல் ‘கடவுளின் மகிமைக்கு அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட செயல்’ எனப் பொருள்படும். அப்படிப்பட்ட செயல் அனைத்து நாடுகளிலும், அனைத்து ஆதிக்கங்களிலும், அனைத்து இனத்தவராலும் செய்யப்படலாம். வெற்றிக்கு மிக முக்கியமானது இந்த ‘அர்ப்பணிப்பு’ ஆகும். அது இல்லாமல், கவலையும், பயமும், கலகமும் கண்டிப்பாக ஏற்படும். நீங்கள் அறிந்து கொண்டிருந்தாலும் இல்லாவிடினும் இவ்வுலகின் ஒவ்வொரு செயலும் இறைவன் பால் தான் இயக்கப்படுகின்றன. இறைவன் ஊக்கமூட்டுபவராகவும், ஆர்வமூட்டுபவராகவும் இல்லாவிடில், இவ்வாறு இப்பிரபஞ்சம் இணக்கத்துடன், குழப்பமின்றி, ஒழுங்கின்மையின்றி, இவ்வளவு சீராக நகர்ந்து கொண்டிருக்க முடியுமா? இந்த உண்மையை அறிந்து, ஏற்றுக் கொண்டவர்கள், அதனைக் காண்கையில் சிலிர்ப்பும், மகிழ்ச்சியும் அடைகிறார்கள்! இறைவனின் நிரந்தர அண்மையில் இருந்து, தம் செயல்கள் அனைத்தையும் அவருக்கு அர்ப்பணிப்பவர்கள் எப்பொழுதும் யக்ஞத்தில் ஈடுபட்டுக் கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.
