The happiness that one derives from virtues is far superior to the happiness that you get from the possession of wealth. Unfortunately, many educated youth today are striving for wealth, physical strength and friendship. But all these have little value without the wealth of character. For men or women, character is the foundation. If you lack character, you become feeble in all other respects. Know that one’s strength lies in character and not in the wealth one earns. Materialistic wealth is not what we need today. Wealth can never confer true happiness. Hence, earn the wealth of virtues by developing good character. Without good character, all learning will prove futile, sooner or later. Embodiments of Love! With good character and purity of heart, perform all your actions. Know that even if a small act is done with a pure heart, it becomes fruitful.

செல்வம் சேர்ப்பதன் மூலம் கிடைக்கும் மகிழ்ச்சியை விட நற்குணங்கள் மூலம் ஒருவர் பெரும் மகிழ்ச்சி மிகவும் மேலானதாகும். இன்று, துரதிர்ஷ்டவசமாக கல்வி கற்ற பல இளைஞர்கள் செல்வத்திற்காகவும், உடல் பலத்திற்காகவும் தோழமைக்காகவும் பாடுபடுகிறார்கள். நன்னடத்தை எனும் செல்வத்துடன் மதிப்பிடும் பொழுது இவற்றைவிட மதிப்பில் குறைவானவையே. ஆணோ, பெண்ணோ, நன்னடத்தையே அடித்தளமாக உள்ளது. உங்களுக்கு நடத்தை சரியாக இல்லையெனில், நீங்கள் பிற விஷயங்களிலும் தளர்ந்துவிடுவீர்கள். ஒருவருடைய பலம் அவர் ஈட்டும் செல்வத்தில் இல்லை, அவருடைய நன்னடத்தையில் தான் உள்ளது. நமக்கு இன்று தேவைப்படுவது பொருட்செல்வம் இல்லை. செல்வத்தால் என்றும் உண்மையான மகிழ்ச்சியை நல்க முடியாது. ஆகையால், நன்னடத்தையை வளர்ப்பதன் மூலம் நற்குணங்கள் எனும் செல்வத்தை ஈட்டுங்கள். நன்னடத்தையில்லாமல், சீக்கிரமாகவோ தாமதமாகவோ அனைத்து கல்வியும் வீணாகிவிடும். அன்பின் வடிவங்களே! நன்னடத்தையுடனும், இதயத்தூய்மையுடனும் உங்கள் அனைத்துச் செயல்களையும் செய்யுங்கள். தூய்மையான இதயத்துடன் செய்யபடும் ஒரு சிறிய செயலும் கூட நற்பயன் பெரும்.
