Everyone wants to be happy. Such a desire is natural and it springs from the fact that your true nature is bliss. Bliss is God but somehow people don’t get that! You are born of joy (ananda), the basis of your life is ananda, and your goal must also be ananda. Truly speaking, it is not difficult to know what the basis and goal of life should be. Prahlada got it! He realised that God is Omnipresent and saw unity in diversity. He clearly perceived Narayana to be the substratum of everything in creation and happily surrendered to Him. His father Hiranyakasipu was just the opposite. He saw diversity in unity and became deluded by the multiplicity of forms in Creation, each with its own name. Clearly understand that you originate from God, that your life’s undercurrent is God, and your final destination also is God. Bliss should be the goal in your life, and seek it in all earnestness.

அனைவரும் சந்தோஷமாக இருக்கவே விழைக்கிறார்கள். அந்த ஆசை இயல்பானதே. உங்கள் உண்மையான இயல்பு ஆனந்தம் என்பதனால் தான் இந்த ஆசை தோன்றுகிறது. ஆனந்தமே கடவுள்! ஆனால் மக்கள் எப்படியோ அதனைப் புரிந்து கொள்வதில்லை! நீங்கள் ஆனந்தத்திலிருந்து பிறந்தவர்கள், உங்கள் வாழ்வின் ஆதாரமும் அந்த ஆனந்தமே, உங்கள் முடிவான குறிக்கோளும் அது தான். உண்மையில், வாழ்வின் ஆதாரத்தையும், குறிக்கோளையும் அறிந்து கொள்வது கடினமானதே அல்ல! ப்ரஹ்லாதன் அதனை அடைந்தான்! கடவுள் எங்கும் நிறைந்துள்ளார் என்பதையும், வேற்றுமையில் உள்ள ஒற்றுமையையும் அவன் உணர்ந்தான். படைப்பிலுள்ள அனைத்திற்கும் ஆதாரம் நாராயணனே என்பதனைத் தெளிவாக உணர்ந்து, மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் அவரிடம் சரண் புகுந்தான். அவன் தந்தை ஹிரண்யகசிபு அதற்கு எதிர்மாறாக இருந்தான். அவன் ஒற்றுமையில் வேற்றுமை கண்டு, படைப்பிலுள்ள பலவேறான உருவங்களையும், அவற்றின் பெயர்களையும் கண்டு பிரமையில் இருந்தான். நீங்கள் கடவுளிடமிருந்து தோன்றினீர்கள் என்பதையும், உங்கள் வாழ்வின் உள்ளோட்டம் கடவுள் என்பதையும், உங்கள் முடிவு நிலை கடவுள் என்பதையும் தெளிவாகப் புரிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். ஆனந்தமே உங்கள் வாழ்வின் குறிக்கோளாக இருக்க வேண்டும். அதனை அடைவதற்கு நீங்கள் மிகுந்த உள்ளார்வத்துடன் விழைய வேண்டும்.

The jeevi (individual soul) has come to this birth in order to reveal the splendour of the spark of Godhead which It is. A rat is attracted by strong smelling cheap little stuff inside the trap; it neglects all other articles of food in the granary, and thus falls a prey to its own foolishness. Similarly people disregard and waste their life in the pursuit of mortal riches. Be aware and alert. Live in the world but develop the skills to wonder and discriminate between the eternal and temporary. Learn to see through this drama and discover the Director behind the scenes, who is none else than God. You can easily develop these skills through devotion (Bhakthi), based on performing duty without any expectation of results (Nishkama Karma).

ஜீவி இந்தப் பிறவி எடுத்ததன் காரணம், தன் உண்மை இயல்பான கடவுளின் பொறியின் பிரகாசத்தைப் புலப்படுத்துவதற்கே. ஒரு எலி இழிவான சிறிய ஒரு பொருளைக் கண்டு அதனைப் பிடிக்க வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ள பொறியினுள் ஈர்க்கப்படுகிறது; தானியக் கிடங்கிலுள்ள பிற பொருட்களை அது உதாசீனப்படுத்தி, அதன் முட்டாள்தனத்தாலேயே மாட்டிக் கொள்கிறது. அதே போல, மக்களும் அழியக் கூடிய செல்வங்களை அடைவதற்காகத் தம் வாழ்க்கையை வீணடிக்கிறார்கள். கவனமாகவும், விழிப்பாகவும் இருங்கள். இவ்வுலகில் வாழுங்கள். அனால் நிலையானதற்கும், நிலையில்லாததற்கும் இடையேயான வித்தியாசத்தை அறிவதற்கானத் திறனை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்க. இந்த நாடகத்தைக் கண்டு, திரைக்குப் பின்னால் உள்ள இயக்குனராக இயங்கும் தெய்வத்தை அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள். பக்தியின் மூலம், நிஷ்காம கர்மம், அதாவது பலனை எதிர்பார்க்காமல் கடமையாற்றுவதன் மூலம் இந்தத் திறன்களை நீங்கள் எளிதாக வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.

The Lord has declared in the Geetha, “Mama maaya” or “My illusion”. This implies that the world is His handiwork, His Divine sport & glory (leela & mahima). It is devised as a training ground, an inspiration for those who desire to see Him, Who is its Source, Director, & Master. Once you see the world as the stage for His play, then you will no longer be misled, nor distracted, nor deceived by any tricks or stage effects. From illusion, you must get interested in the Author, the Master. The play is real only as long as it lasts, when you are in the theatre. So too, the world is just a mirage! A mirage does not originate from rain. It will not reach any lake or sea. It was not there before the sunrise, nor will it be there after the sunset. It is just an intervening phenomenon, it is best left alone! So too, God truly is more real than the world, this is the essence of Indian scriptures.

A mother fetching water from the well, will have a pot on her head, another on her hip and a third in her hand, and will be hurrying her way home, as she is always conscious of the infant in the cradle. If she forgets the infant, her gait slows down and she wanders around, chatting with all her friends. Similarly, if God, the Goal, is not cherished in the memory, one has to wander through many births and arrive home late. Hence keep the memory of the Lord and His glory, always with you. That will quicken your steps and you will arrive soon at the goal.

கிணற்றிலிருந்து நீர் இறைத்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் தாய், தன் தலையில் ஒரு குடத்தையும், மற்றொன்றைத் தன் இடுப்பிலும், மூன்றாவதைத் தன் கையிலும் வைத்துக் கொண்டு, வீட்டில் தொட்டிலில் உள்ள தன் கைக்குழந்தையை எப்பொழுது நினைவில் கொண்டு வீட்டை நோக்கி விரைகிறாள். தன் கைக்குழந்தையை அவள் மறந்துவிட்டால், அவளுடைய நடை மெதுவாக மாறி, அவர்கள் இங்குமங்கும் சுற்றித் திரிந்து, தன் தோழிகள் அனைவரிடமும் பேசிக் கொண்டிருப்பாள். அதே போல, கடவுள் எனும் குறிக்கோள் நம் நினைவில் இல்லையெனில், ஒருவர் பற்பல பிறப்புகளில் சுற்றித் திரிந்து வீட்டிற்குத் தாமதமாகத் தான் வந்தடைய முடியும். ஆகையால், கடவுளையும் அவருடைய மகிமையையும் எக்கணமும் உங்கள் நினைவிலேயே வைத்திருங்கள். அது உங்கள் நடையை விரைவாக்கி உங்களை அந்தக் குறிக்கோளை விரைவில் எட்டச் செய்யும்.

Live in truth, you will then experience Divine Bliss. Faith in God promotes love. Love leads to peace. Peace prepares the way for truth. Where there is faith there is Love, Where there is Love there is Peace, Where there is Peace there is Truth. Where there is Truth there is Bliss, Where there is Bliss there is God. The Divine manifests Himself in many forms and is worshipped as such, for the joy to be derived from it. Truth is one, regardless of nation or religion. The names and forms of human beings may vary, but the Supreme in them (Sath-chith-ananda) does not vary. It is eternal and changeless. Embodiments of Divine Love! Strike down the walls that separate man from man. Get rid of differences based on caste and creed. Develop firm faith in the oneness of Humanity. Cultivate love in your hearts. Then nations will be united, prosperous and happy.

நீங்கள் உண்மையில் வாழ்ந்தால் தெய்வீக ஆனந்தத்தை அனுபவிப்பீர்கள். கடவுளின் மேல் கொள்ளும் நம்பிக்கை அன்பை வளர்க்கிறது. அன்பு அமைதிக்கு இட்டுச் செல்கிறது. அமைதி சத்தியத்திற்கு வழிவகுக்கிறது. நம்பிக்கையிருக்கும் இடத்தில் அன்பிருக்கிறது. அன்பிருக்கும் இடத்தில் அமைதியிருக்கிறது. அமைதியிருக்கும் இடத்தில் சத்தியமிருக்கிறது. சத்தியமிருக்கும் இடத்தில் ஆனந்தமிருக்கிறது. ஆனந்தமிருக்கும் இடத்தில் கடவுள் இருக்கிறார். இறைவன் பல உருவங்களில் தோன்றுகிறார். அதன் மூலம் பெறப்படும் மகிழ்ச்சிக்காக அவர் அவ்வாறாகவே வணங்கப்படுகிறார். எந்த தேசமாக இருந்தாலும், எந்த மதமாக இருந்தாலும் சத்தியம் ஒன்றே. மனிதர்களின் பெயர்களும் தோற்றங்களும் வெவ்வேறாக இருந்தாலும் அவர்களுள் இருக்கும் பரம்பொருள் (சத் சித் ஆனந்தம்) வேறானதில்லை. அது முடிவில்லாத்தது, மாறாதது. ஒரு மனிதனை மற்றொரு மனிதனிடமிருந்து பிரிக்கும் சுவர்களைத் தகர்த்திடுங்கள். சாதி மத பேதங்களை விட்டொழியுங்கள். மனித சமுதாயத்தின் ஒற்றுமையில் திட நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். உங்கள் இதயங்களில் அன்பை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவ்வாறானால் தேசங்கள் ஒற்றுமையாகவும், செழிப்பாகவும், மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும் இருக்கும்.

Just as the calf seeks the udder of the cow for the nourishing milk, seek the Lord and His Glory in Nature. As a matter of fact, Nature is useful only when it adds to the wonder and awe that it is able to provoke and sustain. Everything is an image of the Lord. That is why joy wells up in you when you see and hear the stories of the Lord, and how He attracts all to Himself. It is the call of the bimba (object) for the prathibimba (reflection) to merge in it. So all are entitled to the merger, and all finally have to attain it. Remember, you have to come to Me, if not in this birth, at least within ten more births! Strive to acquire Grace which is the reward for spiritual practice. And the highest spiritual practice is to follow the instructions of the Master.

எவ்வாறு தன்னைப் போஷிக்கும் பாலுக்காக ஒரு கன்று தன் தாய்ப்பசுவின் மடியை நாடுகிறதோ, அவ்வாறே கடவுளையும், சிருஷ்டியில் உள்ள அவரது மகிமையையும் நாடுங்கள். வாழத் தூண்டும் ஆச்சரியத்தையும் வியப்பையும் உங்களுக்கு ஊட்டினால் மட்டுமே இந்த சிருஷ்டி பயனுள்ளதாகிறது. அனைத்தும் இறைவனின் பிரதிபிம்பமே. ஆகையால் தான், நீங்கள் அவருடைய கதைகளையும், அவர் எவ்வாறு அனைவரையும் தன்னிடத்தில் ஈர்க்கிறார் என்பதையும் பார்த்தாலோ கேட்டாலோ உங்களுள் மகிழ்ச்சி பொங்குகிறது. பிரதிபிம்பம் தன்னுடன் இரண்டறக் கலக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக பிம்பம் அதனைத் தன்னிடத்தில் அழைக்கிறது. ஆகையால், அனைவரும் அவருடன் இரண்டறக் கலப்பதற்குப் பாத்திரமானவர்களே. முடிவில் இதனை அவர்கள் அடைந்தே தீர வேண்டும். இப்பிறப்பில் இல்லாவிடினும், குறைந்த பட்சம் பத்துப் பிறப்புகளுக்குள்ளாவது நீங்கள் என்னிடத்தில் வந்தே தீர வேண்டும் என்பதை நினைவில் கொள்ளுங்கள்! ஆன்மீகப் பயிற்சிகளின் பயனான அருளைப் பெற விழையுங்கள். கடவுளின் ஆணைகளின் படி நடப்பதே மிகவுயர்ந்த ஆன்மீகப் பயிற்சி ஆகும்.
