Unaware of your Divine Status, you revel in low company, you toil and sweat as the slave of mean passions, which drag you into disgrace. Be the royal heir that you really are! Be like the lotus, which though born in the slush at the bottom of the lake, through its sheer will-power, rises above the waters, to see the Sun and be inspired by its rays. The lotus discards contact with water, though it is born and bred in that element. So too, you should avoid being attached to the elemental passions! How long are you to sit content with the minor role of a clown or a clout? Have you no ambition? Why smother your genuine talents under a self-imposed mask? Quit the zero roles today and take on the role of the Hero and shine! This is your right!

உங்களுடைய தெய்வீக நிலையை அறியாமல் நீங்கள் கீழ்த்தரமான நட்பு கொண்டு, உங்களை கேவலமான நிலைக்கு இழுத்துச் செல்லும் அற்பமான விருப்பங்களின் அடிமையாக வேர்வை சிந்திக் கஷ்டப்படுகிறீர்கள். உங்களுடைய உண்மையானத் தன்மையாகிய அரச வாரிசாக இருங்கள்! ஏரியின் அடியிலுள்ளச் சகதியில் தோன்றிய தாமரை எவ்வாறு தன் மனோபலத்தினால், சூரியனைக் கண்டு, அதன் கதிர்களால் ஊக்கமடைவதற்காக நீரில் மேலெழும்புகிறதோ நீங்களும் அவ்வாறே இருங்கள். நீரிலேயே தோன்றி, அதனேலேயே வாழ்த்தாலும் கூட, தாமரை நீருடன் உள்ளத் தொடர்பை உதறித் தள்ளுகிறது. அதே போல, நீங்களும் உலகாயதமான விருப்பங்களுடன் தொடர்பு கொள்ளாதீர்கள்! ஒரு விதூஷகன் அல்லது கோமாளி போன்ற பாத்திரத்தில் எவ்வளவு நேரம் தான் நீங்கள் திருப்தி கொண்டிருப்பீர்கள்? உங்களுக்கு முன்னேறுவதற்கான ஆர்வமில்லையா? உங்கள் உண்மையான திறமைகளை ஏன் ஒரு முகமூடியைக் கொண்டு மூச்சுத் திணற வைக்கிறீர்கள்? பூஜ்யமாக (ஜீரோ) உள்ள பாத்திரங்களை இன்றே விடுத்து, நாயகனின் (ஹீரோ) பாத்திரத்தை ஏற்றுக் கொண்டு பிரகாசியுங்கள்! இது உங்களுடைய உரிமையாகும்!

The lotus in your heart pines for the Sun, the splendour of the Loving Lord. To attain Him requires effort. Withdrawal of all attachment towards the world and cultivation of Divine Love alone can win it. God is the nearest and dearest entity, but ignorance hides Him away from the eye. The stars appear as dots of light, for they are at great distances from us. Just as the stars, God appears insignificant or ineffective to many, because they are keeping themselves too far away from Him. If some believe that God is not present or visible, it only means that they are at a too great a distance to be aware of Him. The love that God bears for each and every one is unequalled.

உங்கள் இதயத்திலுள்ள தாமரை மலர், அன்புமிகு ஆண்டவனின் ப்ரகாசம் எனும் சூரியனுக்காக ஏங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது. அவரை அடைவதற்கு முயற்சி தேவைப்படுகிறது. உலகின் மேலுள்ள அனைத்துப் பற்றுதல்களையும் விலக்கி, தெய்வீக அன்பை வளர்த்துக் கொண்டால் மட்டுமே நீங்கள் இதனை அடைய முடியும். கடவுள் மிக அருகாமையிலும், ப்ரியமானவராகவும் திகழ்கிறார். ஆனால் அறியாமை இதனை நம் கண்களிடமிருந்து மறைக்கின்றது. நம்மிடமிருந்து தொலைதூரத்தில் இருப்பதானால், நக்ஷத்திரங்கள் ஒளிரும் புள்ளிகளாக நமக்குத் தோன்றுகின்றன. நக்ஷத்திரங்களைப் போலவே பலருக்கு, அவர்கள் தம்மைக் கடவுளிடமிருந்து தொலைதூரத்தில் தள்ளி வைத்துக்கொண்டதனால், அவர் அற்பமாகவும் செயலற்றும் இருப்பதாகத் தோன்றுகிறார். சிலர் கடவுள் இல்லை அல்லது கண்ணுக்குப் புலன்படுவதில்லை என்று நம்பினால், அது அவர்கள் தம்மை அவரை அறியமுடியாத அளவிற்குத் மிகவும் தொலைவில் வைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பது தான் காரணம். கடவுள் ஒவ்வொருவரின் மேலும் கொண்டுள்ள அன்பு ஒப்பில்லாததாகும்.

All water is not potable. The stagnant pool is to be avoided, the flowing river is better. Select safe and pure water to drink. Use the mosquito net, but see that mosquitoes do not enter into the net, when you go to bed. Keep the mosquitoes away; do not imprison them inside the net. Sail in the boat that floats on water, but do not allow the water to enter the boat. So too, be in worldly life, but do not allow it to get into you. The lotus born in slime and mud rises up through water and lifts its head high above the water. It refuses to get wet though water is the element which gives it life. Be like the lotus.

அனைத்து நீரும் குடிநீர் அல்ல. தேங்கி நிற்கும் குட்டை ஒதுக்கப்பட வேண்டும், ஓடும் ஆறு தான் மேலானது. பாதுகாப்பான, சுத்தப்படுத்தப்பட்ட நீரையே குடிப்பதற்குத் தேர்ந்தெடுங்கள். கொசுவலையை பயன்படுத்துங்கள். ஆனால் படுப்பதற்கு அதனுள் செல்லும் பொழுது அதனுள் கொசுக்கள் நுழையாமல் பார்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். கொசுக்களை அண்டையில் விடாதீர்கள். அவற்றை வலைக்குள் சிறைப்படுத்தாதீர்கள். நீரின் மேல் மிதக்கும் படகில் சவாரி செய்யுங்கள். ஆனால் படகினுள் நீர் நுழையாமல் பார்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அதே போல, உலக வாழ்க்கையில் இருங்கள் ஆனால் அதனை உங்களுள் நுழைய அனுமதிக்காதீர்கள். சகதியிலும் மண்ணிலும் தோன்றிய தாமரை மலர், நீரின் வழியாக வெளி வந்து, அதன் தலையை நீரின் மட்டத்திலிருந்து வெகு உயரத்திற்குக் கொண்டு வருகிறது. நீர் எனும் பொருள் அதற்கு வாழ்வளித்தாலும் அது தன்னை நனைப்பதற்கு அனுமதிப்பதில்லை. தாமரை மலர் போல் இருங்கள்.
