Make four resolutions about your life hereafter and live in joy. 1. Practise Purity – Desist from wicked thoughts, bad habits and mean activities that weaken your self-respect. 2. Do Service – Serve others, for they are the reflections of the same entity of which you yourself are another reflection. No one of you has any authenticity on your own, except with reference to your Creator, the Lord. 3. See Mutuality – Feel always the kinship with all creation. See the same current flowing through all objects in the Universe. 4. Live in Truth – Do not deceive yourself or others by distorting your experience.

Live in truth, you will then experience Divine Bliss. Faith in God promotes love. Love leads to peace. Peace prepares the way for truth. Where there is faith there is Love, Where there is Love there is Peace, Where there is Peace there is Truth. Where there is Truth there is Bliss, Where there is Bliss there is God. The Divine manifests Himself in many forms and is worshipped as such, for the joy to be derived from it. Truth is one, regardless of nation or religion. The names and forms of human beings may vary, but the Supreme in them (Sath-chith-ananda) does not vary. It is eternal and changeless. Embodiments of Divine Love! Strike down the walls that separate man from man. Get rid of differences based on caste and creed. Develop firm faith in the oneness of Humanity. Cultivate love in your hearts. Then nations will be united, prosperous and happy.

நீங்கள் உண்மையில் வாழ்ந்தால் தெய்வீக ஆனந்தத்தை அனுபவிப்பீர்கள். கடவுளின் மேல் கொள்ளும் நம்பிக்கை அன்பை வளர்க்கிறது. அன்பு அமைதிக்கு இட்டுச் செல்கிறது. அமைதி சத்தியத்திற்கு வழிவகுக்கிறது. நம்பிக்கையிருக்கும் இடத்தில் அன்பிருக்கிறது. அன்பிருக்கும் இடத்தில் அமைதியிருக்கிறது. அமைதியிருக்கும் இடத்தில் சத்தியமிருக்கிறது. சத்தியமிருக்கும் இடத்தில் ஆனந்தமிருக்கிறது. ஆனந்தமிருக்கும் இடத்தில் கடவுள் இருக்கிறார். இறைவன் பல உருவங்களில் தோன்றுகிறார். அதன் மூலம் பெறப்படும் மகிழ்ச்சிக்காக அவர் அவ்வாறாகவே வணங்கப்படுகிறார். எந்த தேசமாக இருந்தாலும், எந்த மதமாக இருந்தாலும் சத்தியம் ஒன்றே. மனிதர்களின் பெயர்களும் தோற்றங்களும் வெவ்வேறாக இருந்தாலும் அவர்களுள் இருக்கும் பரம்பொருள் (சத் சித் ஆனந்தம்) வேறானதில்லை. அது முடிவில்லாத்தது, மாறாதது. ஒரு மனிதனை மற்றொரு மனிதனிடமிருந்து பிரிக்கும் சுவர்களைத் தகர்த்திடுங்கள். சாதி மத பேதங்களை விட்டொழியுங்கள். மனித சமுதாயத்தின் ஒற்றுமையில் திட நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளுங்கள். உங்கள் இதயங்களில் அன்பை வளர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள். அவ்வாறானால் தேசங்கள் ஒற்றுமையாகவும், செழிப்பாகவும், மகிழ்ச்சியாகவும் இருக்கும்.

You can feel the presence of God, in the depth of silence. In the excitement, clutter and confusion of the marketplace, you cannot hear His gentle footsteps. He resounds with clarity, when all is filled with silence. Hence I insist on silence, practice of soft speech and minimum sound. Talk little, talk in whispers, sweet and true. When you want to place a heavy thing on the ground, place it with care, do not drop it and create noise around you. Bend a little, keep it softly and gently on the floor with care. Similarly examine each and every act of yours and see to it that you execute it softly and silently. Transact all dealings with minimum speech and eliminate noise. Do not shout to persons standing far, go near them or beckon them to approach you. Loud noise is a sacrilege on the sky, just as there are sacrilegious uses of earth and water.

Your fortune or misfortune depends on your actions. Without realising this truth, you are indulging in evil deeds. You feel sorry when the consequences of your sins haunt you. What is the use? You have to be careful right from beginning not to commit sin. Truth is the ornament for your neck (Sathyam kantasya bhushanam), Charity is the true ornament of the hand (Hasthasya bhushanam daanam). Your hands are useless if they do not perform acts of charity. You have to sanctify each limb of your body by engaging in sacred activities. Let your eyes ever look only at sacred things. These teachings are simple to practise in your daily life. But do not take them lightly. Though they appear to be simple, they lead you to liberation. You may not be able to see the results of your meritorious deeds. But they confer on you all the happiness and comforts in due course of time.

உங்கள் அதிர்ஷ்டமும் துரதிர்ஷ்டமும் உங்கள் செயல்களைச் சார்ந்தே உள்ளது. இந்த உண்மையை அறியாமல், நீங்கள் தீய செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டுக் கொண்டுள்ளீர்கள். உங்கள் பாவங்களின் விளைவுகள் உங்களை வாட்டும் பொழுது நீங்கள் வருத்தப்படுகிறீர்கள். இதன் பயன் என்ன? முதலில் இருந்தே பாவம் செய்யாதிருக்க நீங்கள் கவனமாக கொள்ள வேண்டும். உண்மையே உங்கள் கழுத்தின் ஆபரணம் ஆகும் (சத்யம் கண்டஸ்ய பூஷணம்). அறமே கரங்களின் உண்மையான ஆபரணம் ஆகும் (ஹஸ்தஸ்ய பூஷணம் தானம்). அறச் செயல்கள் செய்யாவிடில் உங்கள் கைகள் இருந்து எந்த பயனும் இல்லை. புனிதச் செயல்களில் ஈடுபட்டு உங்கள் ஒவ்வொரு உறுப்பையும் புனிதப்படுத்திக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். உங்கள் கண்கள் புனிதமானவற்றையே எப்பொழுதும் காணட்டும். உங்கள் தினசரி வாழ்க்கையில் பின்பற்றுவதற்கு இந்த உபதேசங்கள் எளிதானவை. ஆனால் அவற்றை சாதாரணமாகக் கருதாதீர்கள். அவை எளிதாகத் தோன்றினாலும், அவை உங்களை மோக்ஷத்திற்கு இட்டுச் செல்லும். உங்கள் நற்செயல்களின் பலன்கள் உங்களுக்குப் புலப்படாமல் இருக்கலாம். ஆனால், அவை காலப்போக்கில் உங்களுக்கு சந்தோஷத்தையும் சௌகரியங்களையும் நல்கும்.

People are blinded by the objective world and they believe that world to be real, meaningful and worthy of pursuit. The cataract grows in the eye and robs it of its efficiency. Ignorance is the cataract of the inner eye. It hides the true vision and blinds the intellect such that one cannot see that Divinity is their real nature. Ignorance misleads you and makes you believe that you are an ordinary human (manava), when in reality you are God (Madhava). Of what use is the eye, when the vision is not correct? You have focussed too long on riches, status, children, relatives, fame and standard of living. All of these are of minor interest and momentary value. Fix your urge on the Truth, Eternal, the Real, the Pure and Immovable (Nithya, Sathya, Nirmala and Nischala) – the Divinity present within you and around you.

மக்கள் இந்த பௌதிக உலகத்தினால் குருடாக்கப்பட்டு, அதனை உண்மை என்றும், அர்த்தமுள்ளது என்றும், பின்பற்றத் தக்கது என்றும் நம்புகிறார்கள். கண்புறை கண்ணில் வளர்ந்து அதன் செயல்திறனைக் குலைக்கின்றது. அஞ்ஞானம் தான் உட்கண்ணின் புறை ஆகும். அது உண்மையான பார்வையை மறைத்து, தம் உண்மை இயல்பான தெய்வீகத்தை ஒருவரால் பார்க்க முடியாதவாறு புத்தியைக் குருடாக்குகிறது. அஞ்ஞானம் உங்களைத் தவறாக வழிநடத்தி நீங்கள் உண்மையில் கடவுள் (மாதவன்) தான் என்று இருக்கையில் நீங்கள் ஒரு சாதாரண மனிதன் (மானவன்) என நம்ப வைக்கிறது. பார்வை சரியாக இல்லாவிடில் கண் எதற்கு? நீங்கள் வெகு காலமாக செல்வங்கள், அந்தஸ்து, பிள்ளைச் செல்வம், உறவினர்கள், புகழ் மற்றும் வாழ்க்கைத் தரம் ஆகியவற்றின் மேல் கவனம் செலுத்தியுள்ளீர்கள். இவையனைத்தும் அற்பமானவை, நிலையில்லாத மதிப்பு கொண்டவை. சத்தியமான, நித்தியமான, நிர்மலமான, அசையாததான (நித்ய, சத்ய, நிர்மல, நிஸ்சல), உங்களுள்ளும், உங்களைச் சுற்றியும் உள்ள தெய்வீகத்தின் பால் உங்கள் உந்துதலை நிலை நிறுத்துங்கள்.

Believe in your experience; confidently accept whatever has given you peace and joy. This is the basis for faith. Also, gather wisdom from wherever you can acquire it. Listen to the good things that teachers of different denominations elaborate upon. Weigh in your own mind, against your own experience, the teachings you have heard. Listening (Shravanam) should be followed and confirmed by Reflection (Mananam). You must think through the background, implications, reservations, and limitations of what you have been told. Then comes Nididhyaasana – you should meditate on the truth that you have painstakingly garnered over the years and plant this wisdom deep down in your consciousness and let it become part of yourself.

Meditate upon the flute of Krishna and the melody it aroused in the veins of mankind, animals, birds, plants and even hills, rivers and rocks on sand dunes. Dwell also on the supreme love of the Gopis, their surrender of everything, gross and subtle, of ego and egoistic attachment at the feet of the Supreme Being. They spoke no word except prayer, they moved no step, except towards God, they saw and heard only Krishna in every being, they spoke every word of Him, to Him, no matter who was present with them. Lord Krishna filled their hearts and transmuted them into the most self-effacing group of devotees the world has ever seen. And know that the Lord’s assurance, “Yogakshemam Vahaamyaham” (I shall take care of the well being of My devotees) is no empty declaration; it is the vow of the Lord, and He is the very embodiment of Truth.

மனம் புத்தியின் சேவகனாக வேண்டும், புலன்களின் அடிமையாக அல்ல. பகுத்தறிந்து, தன்னை உடலிலிருந்து விலக்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். புளியம்பழம் எவ்வாறு பழுத்தபின் தனது ஒட்டிற்குள் தளர்ந்துவிடுகிறதோ அவ்வாறே மனமும் இந்த ஓடாகிய கூடாகிய உடலுடன் பற்றில்லாமல் இருக்க வேண்டும். நீங்கள் பழுக்காத பச்சை புளியங்காயை ஒரு கல்லினால் அடித்தால் அதனுள் உள்ள பழச் சதைக்குத் தீங்கிழைப்பீர்கள். ஆனால் இதையே பழுத்த பழத்திற்கு செய்தால், என்ன ஆகும்? அந்தக் காய்ந்த ஓடு விழுந்துவிடும். உள்ளே உள்ள பழச் சதையையோ விதையையோ அது பாதிக்காது. பழுத்த சாதகன் விதியின் அடியையோ சந்தர்ப்பங்களின் தாக்குதலையோ உணர்வதில்லை. பழுக்காத மனிதனே ஒவ்வொரு அடியினாலும் புண்படுகிறான். அவ்வாறே உங்கள் அஞ்ஞானம் உங்கள் சுயமுயற்சியாலேயே விழுந்துவிட வேண்டும். அது உங்களுக்கு பரிசாகவோ அதிசய நிகழ்வாகவோ கிடைக்காது. பொய் மற்றும் அநியாயத்துடனான உங்கள் சுயப்போராட்டத்தினால் கிடைக்கும் சத்தியம், ஆனந்தம் மற்றும் அமைதி உங்களது நிலையான பொக்கிஷங்களாக இருக்கும்.
